Credits

Top up whenever you need to

Credits pay for CopperOS's own model once your plan's allowance is spent. Every dollar buys 100 credits, they never expire, and any plan can buy them. A task uses them for what its model calls really cost: CopperOS adds up every call, not a guess. Settings shows how many you have left.

Questions

Before you choose

Which plan should I choose?

Ingot suits regular use: a few tasks most days. Facet is for long and repeating jobs. Foundry is for people who already have an OpenRouter or OpenAI key and want to choose their own model. Settings shows how much of your allowance you have used, so you can move up or down.

How long can a task run?

That depends on the plan: up to 15 minutes on the trial, 5 hours on Ingot and 24 hours on Facet. On Foundry one task has no limit of its own; all of an account's tasks share a weekly pool of running time, and Settings shows what is left. Time spent waiting for you to approve something or answer a question never counts. A task that reaches its limit stops and says so, and "continue" picks it up where it left off.

How do I pay?

In the extension, choose a plan or a credit pack under Settings → Plans & credits. It opens Stripe's own payment page in a new tab. CopperOS never sees your card number. Your invoices and receipts are on your billing page.

How do I cancel, or change plan?

Settings → Plans & credits → Manage billing & invoices. There you can switch plans, update your card, download invoices and cancel. A cancelled plan stays active until the end of the month you paid for, and then you are back on Ore.

What does a plan's allowance cover?

How much of CopperOS's model your plan includes: on Ingot and Facet each month, from the day your plan renews, worth the price less what running it costs; on the trial each week, from Monday (UTC). Settings shows how much is left as a percentage, the tokens used, and when it starts again. What goes past it comes out of your credits, if you have any; otherwise tasks stop with a message saying when they can start again.

Do I need Foundry to use my own key?

In CopperOS's cloud, yes: your own key is part of Foundry. You can also run CopperOS on your own computer, with your own key or a local model through Ollama, and we don't charge for that. It is open source under the MIT license: see the setup guide.

Are my chats private?

Every chat is encrypted before it is stored, with a key of its own for your account, and so are your memories and molds. We don't sell your data or use it for ads. Settings → Delete my account deletes all of it, and cancels any subscription. See the privacy policy and the terms.
