The software
The CopperOS extension and broker are open-source software under the MIT License. The hosted service ("the cloud") is run by the developer of CopperOS. By installing or using CopperOS you agree to these terms.
You are in charge
CopperOS acts on your instructions, in your browser and with your accounts. You are responsible for:
- the tasks you give it and the actions you approve;
- following the terms of the websites you use it on.
Check what it is about to do before you approve a submission.
AI makes mistakes
The agent can misread a page, fill in a wrong value or take the wrong step. Use approvals, and don't rely on it for payments or for legal, medical, financial or other high-stakes actions without checking its work.
Your cloud account
You need an account to use the cloud, and you must be at least 13. Keep your sign-in to yourself; you are responsible for what is done with your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings.
Fair use
Don't use CopperOS to break the law, send spam, attack or overload websites, or get into accounts or data you aren't allowed to use. We may suspend or close accounts that do, or that put the service at risk.
The hosted service
The cloud is free while CopperOS is in beta. A task works for up to 15 minutes at a time. We may change, limit or stop the service; if we stop it, we will give notice in the extension where we can.
Third-party services
The AI provider you connect (OpenRouter, OpenAI or Ollama) is a separate service with its own terms and prices. Any costs from your API keys are yours. Sign-in uses Amazon Cognito and your Google account.
No warranty
CopperOS is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and the cloud may be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss or damage arising from its use, including anything the agent does on your behalf.

These terms may be updated; the date above shows the latest version.
